Who We Are.

His Lamplight Mission INC. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Founded by our directors, Rev. Jeremiah Kim and Joanna Shin, the mission began with a heartfelt commitment to spreading the Gospel and empowering Nicaragua’s youth. Our journey started with establishing Iglesia Agua Viva, a church in the small barrio of "Las Banderas," bringing hope and faith to the local community. Building on this foundation, we expanded our vision to create Rama Naiot Christian Academy, where we strive to provide exceptional education and nurture individuals rooted in Christian values, equipped to serve and inspire others.

We are dedicated to providing high-quality education to elementary students and have ambitious plans to expand our curriculum to serve middle and high school students. Currently, we support approximately 180 students, and with your help, we can reach even more young minds in our community.

As a private institution, we strive to offer the best possible learning environment for our students. While we would love to welcome every child, we must operate within certain limitations, ensuring that students meet a foundational standard of academic readiness and behavior. These guidelines are not meant to exclude but rather to maintain an environment where every student can thrive and progress to the next grade level successfully.

His Lamplight Mission INC.는 미국 국세청에 등록된 501(c)(3) 비영리 단체입니다. 우리 사역은 디렉터인 김인선 목사와 신유선 사모의 진심 어린 헌신에서 시작되었습니다. 복음을 전하고 니카라과 청소년들을 세우고자 하는 열정으로 시작된 사역은, 작은 마을 “Las Banderas, Mateare”에 Iglesia Agua Viva 교회를 세우면서 시작되었습니다. 그곳에서 지역사회에 희망과 믿음을 심었고, 그 기반 위에서 Rama Naiot Christian Academy를 설립하여 기독교적 가치관을 가진 인재들을 양성하고, 그들이 다른 이들을 섬기고 영감을 줄 수 있도록 돕는 교육 비전을 확장했습니다.

우리는 초등학생들에게 수준 높은 교육을 제공하고 있으며, 앞으로 중·고등학교 과정으로 커리큘럼을 확장할 야심찬 계획을 가지고 있습니다. 현재 약 180명의 학생들을 지원하고 있으며, 여러분의 도움으로 더 많은 학생들에게 다가갈 수 있습니다.

사립학교로서 우리는 학생들에게 최상의 학습 환경을 제공하기 위해 노력합니다. 모든 학생을 받아주고 싶은 마음은 크지만, 일정한 학업 준비도와 행동 기준을 충족해야 합니다. 이러한 기준은 학생을 배제하려는 목적이 아니라 모든 학생이 성공적으로 학년을 마치고 성장할 수 있는 환경을 유지하기 위한 것입니다.

Meet the Team

Jeremiah Kim

FOUNDER
Pastor Jeremiah Kim is a dedicated leader with a deep passion for education, ministry, and community service. He is a graduate of Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Church Music, equipping him with a strong foundation in both theology and the arts. He further pursued his theological education at New York Theological Seminary, where he obtained a Master of Divinity, preparing him for a lifelong commitment to pastoral care and leadership.
With over 26 years of experience in pastoral ministry, Pastor Jeremiah has dedicated his life to guiding, mentoring, and uplifting communities through faith and education. His commitment extends beyond the pulpit—he has over 20 years of experience in teaching music and children's ministry, using his talents to inspire and nurture young minds. Joanna Kim

Vice President Joanna Kim is a graduate of Sookmyung Women’s University in South Korea, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Library Science. With over 26 years of dedicated service in pastoral care alongside her husband, Pastor Jeremiah Kim, she has been a pillar of faith and leadership.
Now serving as the Vice President of Rama Naiot Christian Academy, Joanna brings more than 5 years of experience in child education and school administration. Her passion for nurturing young minds and fostering a Christ-centered learning environment continues to make a profound impact on the academy and its students. Here is a small word from Joanna.

Isac Kim

MARKETING AND SOCIAL NETWORKING DIRECTOR
Isac is a graduate of Baylor University with a Bachelors of Science in Health Science Studies on the Pre-Dental Track. He is now a first year dental student in the U.S. pursuing a Doctorate in Dental Medicine. Passionate for service Isac has dedicated his time to serve alongside his parents and be the marketing and social networking director for His Lamplight Mission Inc. Here is a small word from Isac!
